Frequently asked questions

Here are some commonly asked questions about Annabel's Educare.

What do you mean by a curriculum?

In early childhood settings, "curriculum" is more than just lessons and textbooks. It's all the experiences, activities, and events - planned or unplanned - that shape a child's learning journey. Te Whāriki, New Zealand's early childhood curriculum framework, reflects this broad view, encompassing everything from direct interactions with teachers and peers to independent exploration and everyday routines. Even the physical environment itself becomes a "work activity," designed to spark curiosity and growth.

Do you provide meals?

While we don't provide meals, it's to encourage a positive relationship with food! Children have diverse tastes, and offering familiar food from home promotes acceptance and enjoyment. This approach also fosters communication with parents, allowing us to support healthy eating habits together.

What is the enrolment process?

Enrolling your child is easy! Simply request an enrolment form here or contact us directly. We'd also love for you to experience our centre firsthand! Schedule a visit to observe our environment, meet our educators, and ask any questions you may have. We're confident you'll find the perfect fit for your child!
