About our space
Annabels Somerfield is a purpose-built centre, spanning over two buildings and catering for children 0-6 years old within three age-specific classrooms. Located at the foot of the port hills, Annabels Somerfield has beautiful connections with our local tangata whenua and community. We are immersed in our local community and all that it has to offer! By going on regular excursions and using our local landmarks and community environments, to extend, support and facilitate children’s learning in meaningful and hands-on learning ways.
About our community
We place each child and their uniqueness at the centre of our curriculum and design a tailored, child-initiated and focused programme around them. This means that our play-based learning programme caters to and is responsive to each child’s culture and individual diverse needs and ensures success for all learners!
Our centre's experiences
Kaiako at Annabel’s Somerfield place relationships at the forefront of what we do. Creating strong bonds and partnerships with every child and their whanau, whilst working in collaboration to ensure each child achieves success whilst with us. We aspire for all children and whanau, to feel like our centre is their second home! To know they have a place and are all important members of our Annabel’s family!
